Donald Trump (76) is convinced: “Each of them kissed my ass.” With these words, the former American president wants to promote his new book. The work contains letters addressed to him by royals and prominent politicians. In it, everyone tried to get honey on his mouth and be on good terms with him, the former US president claims.
Among them are predecessors Richard Nixon (1913-1994), Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) and Barack Obama (61), but also the North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un (39). The British Princess Diana (1961-1997), also known as Lady Di, is said to have written a letter.
Princess Diana’s brother does not like that at all. Charles Spencer (58) speaks out on Twitter. That she wrote a letter to Trump and would have flattered her in it is complete nonsense. “I was surprised to learn that Donald Trump was apparently claiming that my late sister Diana wanted to kiss him,” he writes.
The only time his sister mentioned Trump was when he “used her good name to sell a house in New York,” Spencer said. And: “She thought it was much worse than an anal fissure.”
Donald Trump has repeatedly commented on Princess Diana in the past. Sometimes extremely shocking. In a 2018 interview with the well-known American presenter Howard Stern (69), he said that he had slept with Diana, but had previously subjected her to an HIV test.
The truth may be different. Bestselling author Christopher Andersen (73) clearly describes in “The King: The Life of Charles III” (in German: “Der König: Das Leben von Charles III.”) how Princess Diana has repeatedly rejected Trump’s continued advances. Shortly after the divorce, Trump “aggressively pursued” her.
Last April, Trump claimed that the Queen, Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022), and then the Duchess and now Queen Camilla (75) caught his eye at a royal banquet.
Trump seems to think a lot of the Queen. She was “truly a legend,” he said in an interview with British reporter Piers Morgan (57) on TalkTV. “Camilla was sitting on my right side and I said, ‘Queen, I really need to talk to Camilla too.’ We couldn’t get a divorce.” Camilla was “very funny”. “I like them. I like Charles too.”
The letters in Trump’s new book span a period of more than 40 years – and with it the time when Trump as a real estate entrepreneur and television star was much less controversial than he has been since the start of his political career. The book will hit stores April 25 and will cost a whopping $99. A signed copy will cost $399.
Trump, who was elected from the White House in 2020, had already published the photo book ‘Our Journey Together’ last year. The book is reported to have grossed $20 million in its first two months of publication. (TVA/AFP)
