Now Lauterbach is suddenly talking about vaccine damage

The corona policy of the German Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach (60) was characterized by the contours of horror scenarios and strict measures.

As one of the most urgent corona warnings, Lauterbach also campaigned for vaccination in the forefront and even brought up mandatory vaccination. The sudden turnaround is all the more surprising: in an interview with the ZDF “heute journal” on Sunday evening, Lauterbach spoke about vaccination damage.

“I feel sorry for the people”

“This fate is absolutely staggering and any fate is one too many. I feel very sorry for the people,” said the Minister of Health on ZDF.

And: There are the toughest restrictions and some will remain permanent. That is why Lauterbach now wants to better support people with Long Covid and vaccine damage. His ministry is planning a program to investigate the consequences and improve care as quickly as possible. “I’m practically in the budget negotiations for this money.”

Such a program would “network the experts in the field in such a way that the chance of a really good therapy in Germany would increase,” Lauterbach said.

The state is liable for vaccine damage, Lauterbach said. But it would be “valuable if the companies showed a participation here, because the profits were exorbitant”.

Lauterbach once described that vaccinations have no side effects

That the Minister of Health has now acknowledged the vaccine damage comes as a surprise. For example, he made the following statement in a TV conversation with Anne Will in February 2022: “The vaccinations are more or less free of side effects.”

Lauterbach has also repeatedly commented on the vaccines and their side effects on Twitter, describing them as “all mild” or, citing studies, not talking about side effects at all. Lauterbach, who is known for his alarming rhetoric, spoke on ZDF about a “botched tweet”.

He stressed that vaccine damage must be recognized more quickly, but also pointed out that serious vaccine damage occurs in less than one in 10,000 vaccinations. (dzc/AFP)
