Capriles is entering the presidential race again

Caracas (EFE).– Him former governor Henrique Capriles This Friday, he launched his candidacy for the opposition primaries on October 22, ahead of the 2024 presidential election, during a proclamation organized by his Primero Justicia (PJ) party.

With the support of the PJ director and militants, 50-year-old politician He thanked for the support of his formation that proposed him for the race after internal consultations in which the former deputy Juan Pablo Guanipa and the former mayor Carlos Ocariz participated, both present at the event, where they confirmed their support for the two-time presidential candidate.

Capriles is burdened by a disqualification that prevents him from holding positions in public authority, which is an obstacle National Commission for Primary Elections (CNP) He hopes that it will be resolved at the negotiating table between the Government and the opposition, in case the former governor or some other disqualified leader is elected in October.
