Video of an execution by Russian troops made headlines around the world on Monday. You see a Ukrainian soldier standing alone in the trenches with only a cigarette in his hand. Now it is clear who the soldier was, according to the Ukrainian army. This is Timofey Shadura, who has been reported missing since February 3 after fighting near the town of Bakhmut. He belonged to the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after prince and general Kostyantyn Ostrozkiy (1460-1530).

His unit confirmed that Timofey Shadura was seen in the execution video. “The body of our soldier is in temporarily occupied territory.
