At least two dead in a Russian attack on a residential building in Zaporozhye

At least two people were killed this morning in a Russian rocket attack on a residential building in Ukrainian city of Zaporizhiain the southeast of the country, the secretary of the city council of Zaporozhye, Anatolij Kurtev, and the State Emergency Service reported today, according to Efe.

The Russians “almost completely destroyed the five-story building. People are under the rubble. According to preliminary information, two people were killed,” Kurtev wrote on his Telegram account, in which he stated that there were people under the ruins.

The state emergency service stated that the lifeless bodies of two people were taken out from under the rubble.

so far 11 person was rescued and hospitalized for examinationincluding a pregnant woman, and 20 people were evacuated, according to Efe.

As a result of the attack, “floors 5 to 1 of the same entrance of the residential building were demolished,” he explained.

A total of 90 people, including three psychologists, and 24 units are participating in search and rescue operations, the State Emergency Service added.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said tonight in his usual speech to the population that cities and districts on the front line are exposed to “Russian bombing every day and night.”
