Here the Russian ambassador interrupts the UN minute’s silence for Russia’s action by Ukraine: “Incompetent and ridiculous at first glance, but…”

On the anniversary of the outbreak of war in Ukraine, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba asked for a minute’s silence at a session of the UN Security Council. This is to commemorate the victims of the Russian aggression.

His request is granted and all participants rise.

A little later, however, the Russian ambassador, Vasily Nebenzya, said he wanted to speak to make a statement. The whole meeting sits down again, Nebenzya talks about getting up, eh all To remember people who were victims of what happened in Ukraine.

The strange scene in the video:

Here the ambassador of Russia demands the floor:

However, the ambassador then refers to the year 2014 (when the attack on the Crimean peninsula began, editor’s note) and implicitly demands that the fallen Russian soldiers also be commemorated. Every life is priceless. Nebenzya stands and instructs the representatives, now seated, to stand again to continue the minute’s silence.

At first it seems like most of the participants don’t want to get up anymore. Only hesitantly, all members get up again, at the end the whole room stands on its feet and the minute of silence continues. (First)
