Canada: man drives bus in kindergarten – two children dead Well-known American journalist claims: US blew up Nord Stream pipelines

A man drove a bus into a kindergarten near the Canadian city of Montreal and killed two children. One had died at the scene of the accident, local media reported Wednesday (local time). Seven other children were taken to hospital, some with serious injuries, where one of them died despite attempts to resuscitate. The condition of the other children is stable, it said. There was no information about the exact age of the children. The incident happened Wednesday in the town of Laval, north of Montreal.

The driver was a 51-year-old employee of the city transport company, the police report on Twitter. The man was arrested on the spot. The bus raced into the kindergarten at 30 or 40 kilometers per hour, broadcaster CBC reports based on testimonials. It didn’t look like an accident. After the collision, the man got off the bus, screamed and undressed, it was said. According to media reports, the 51-year-old is charged with, among other things, double murder and grievous bodily harm. A court hearing is scheduled for February 17.

“There is nothing more cruel than harming our children,” Quebec Prime Minister François Legault wrote on Twitter. He announced a visit to Laval for Thursday. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also expressed his condolences on Twitter. (aeg/sda/dpa)
