Jennifer Coolidge (Stifler’s Mother) Honored as “Woman of the Year” At Least 22 Dead in Chile Wildfires

American actress Jennifer Coolidge (61) has been honored by the Harvard University theater group as “Woman of the Year” with the “Hasty Pudding” award. Coolidge, known for “The White Lotus,” “American Pie,” and “Legally Blonde,” accepted the award Saturday night (local time) in Cambridge, Massachusetts. On Thursday, fellow actor Bob Odenkirk (60, “Better Caul Saul”) was honored as “Man of the Year.”

Coolidge was greeted with a singing performance by the a cappella group The Harvard Krokodiloes. A street parade followed near campus, with the actress – dressed in a fluffy pink hat – waving to the crowd that had gathered in Cambridge city center despite freezing temperatures.

Afterwards, the actual award ceremony took place on the grounds of the venerable university. For this, the students of the theater group appeared in traditional costumes. Dressed in costumes, wigs and glittery make-up, they presented Coolidge with the special trophy in the form of a gold-colored pudding pot.

The award has been presented since the 1950s for “enduring and impressive contributions to the entertainment world”. Last year, Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman won awards. Past recipients include stars such as Halle Berry, Helen Mirren, Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds, Martin Scorsese, Robert de Niro, Harrison Ford and Tom Cruise. (sda/dpa)
