Kosovo Prime Minister Kurti announces cooperation with SP Switzerland “It was disgusting to me” – a well-known opponent of Putin criticized the WEF in the strongest possible terms

Before the elections in Switzerland and Kosovo, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that his party would cooperate with SP Switzerland. A letter of intent and cooperation is signed.

Kurti announced this on Wednesday in an interview published on the blick.ch platform. “Our parties belong to the same ideological family,” said Vetevendosje (Self-Determination) party leader.

The declaration of intent and cooperation with the SP for 2023 to 2025 – then there will be elections in Kosovo – will be signed on Thursday. “It will be about political dialogue, development aid, business, education, but also cooperation in elections,” said Kurti.

Many Kosovars in Switzerland are members of both parties. “We want to help each other with campaigns.” The goal is for both sides to become stronger, Kurti said.

When asked if Vetevendosje would advertise the SP in the federal election year and the SP in Kosovo in 2025, Kurti said we would see exactly what the cooperation would look like. The intention, however, is mutual support in the election campaign.

Kurti explained that Cédric Wermuth, co-chairman of SP Switzerland, was a good friend of his. Switzerland is a haven for the Kosovo opposition and money transfers home are important to Kosovo.

Vetevendosje has won the February 2021 elections in Kosovo. As a student in the 1990s, its chairman, Kurti, had already organized demonstrations against the then Serbian regime in Kosovo. He was already prime minister from February to June 2020. (aeg/sda)
