According to a media report, a passenger plane has crashed in the Nepalese city of Pokhara. There were 68 passengers and four crew members on board the Yeti Airlines plane, the Kathmandu Post newspaper reported, citing a spokesman for the airline.
The plane crashed on Sunday morning en route from the capital Kathmandu to Pokhara. Videos and photos posted on social media showed plumes of smoke at the alleged crash site. “The chances of the passengers surviving are very slim,” an airport official told CNN. According to the international medium “Rawsglobal” on Twitter, 70 of the 72 people on board have died.
