Animal torture video on TikTok goes viral – mafia storms innocent man’s apartment

A short video is currently circulating on various social media platforms: You see a dog crouched in a corner of a white tiled room and clearly completely intimidated. The animal has head and snout injuries, large red wounds that glisten through its fur.

From the beginning, a voice flaunts: “Look! I hit that little one on the head with the belt…”

Suspicion falls on Berliners

The video could have been taken anywhere, but rumors circulated on Thursday: Two specific addresses in Berlin-Spandau where the tormented dog was said to be were given on the Internet.

The Berlin police drove there, a spokesman for T-Online reported on Friday – and found a group of about eight people at one of the addresses, who were discussing angrily. According to the officials, a group of approximately this size was also located at the other address, whereby the group had even gained unauthorized access to the apartment.

“With all understanding for the urgent desire to save the dog and identify the person responsible,” the police write on Twitter. “Vigilante justice is not an option!”

Now police are investigating the self-proclaimed animal rights activists for trespassing and threats, against those who shared the two Spandau addresses for defamation and data protection violations.

Also due to violation of the Animal Welfare Act has been determined. However, the officials emphasize that the homeowners sued on the Internet are not suspected. According to previous investigations, they had nothing to do with animal cruelty.

So far there is no indication of the real culprit. It is not even clear at the moment whether the video with the beaten dog was shot in Berlin at all, according to the spokesman. Anyone who has a tip is urged not to post it online next time, but to contact the police immediately.
