After the murder of a teacher, an arrest warrant was issued in Germany against the suspected 17-year-old student. A judge has taken him into custody on suspicion of manslaughter, police and prosecutors said on Thursday.
The autopsy of the body revealed that the 55-year-old teacher suffered numerous stab wounds and bled to death as a result. The investigation into the background of the crime in Ibbenbüren north of Münster (North Rhine-Westphalia) is said to be ongoing. The 17-year-old suspect has not yet responded to what happened.
The perpetrator himself called 911
As the investigation revealed, the student had been expelled from school for a day a few hours before the bloody crime because of conflicts with his teachers.
Nevertheless, on Tuesday afternoon he allegedly attacked and killed his class teacher, who was alone in the classroom at the time. He then called the emergency number himself and was arrested without resistance. The colleagues in the Steinfurt district held a minute’s silence at 11 a.m. on Thursday. (SDA)
