Margot Robbie appeared in a pink dress, Jamie Lee Curtis in a black outfit. James Cameron, Steven Spielberg, Eddie Murphy, Salma Hayek, Hilary Swank and Michelle Yeaoh were among the many filmmakers who strolled past photographers.
The Globe trophies in 27 film and television categories from the Association of Foreign Press (HFPA) are awarded for the 80th time. Broadcaster NBC wants to broadcast the gala live again. Last January, NBC canceled traditional TV broadcasts. Nominees stayed away from the event, which is usually full of stars. The names of the winners were only announced through the social media accounts of the HFPA association. The reason for this was, among other things, massive criticism of the association for a lack of diversity. As part of a restructuring, the pool of Globe judges has now become larger and more diverse.
