Prince Harry’s media offensive continues. After two scandalous interviews on British and American television, his autobiography “Spare” (German title: “Reserve”) was released on January 10 – now the Royal is moving back to television. On Tuesday, he was a guest on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show, cult talk show host, and he also had to pull one side or the other.
With his current statements about his brother William or Camilla, Harry causes a stir again, in his memoirs he divides in all directions. Stephen Colbert first faded in an excerpt from one of the recent interviews – here Harry said he was shunned by his brother at school. Colbert’s scathing comment on this:
The moderator took it a step further, stating that he was very much looking forward to “his regal Harryness”. – referring to how much the 38-year-old currently dominates the headlines. Harry didn’t seem to take offense at Colbert’s taunts.
The actual conversation was at least partly a bit more serious, including the emotional impact of Lady Diana’s death. However, it was almost inevitable that Colbert brought up Harry’s penis problem again, which arose during an expedition to the North Pole. The cold seemed to have stopped at no part of his body. The royal also comments on this in the book.
Colbert smugly asked when exactly at the North Pole Harry had “a crisis at the South Pole” – and his interlocutor promptly asked for a drink. Finally, Harry made it clear that his best piece had not become an “icicle” overnight. On the contrary, it only became uncomfortable later. The situation has “slowly deteriorated”.
After all, on a later trip to the South Pole, an extra ‘penis pillow’ was made for Harry, because regular pants just don’t offer enough protection. At that moment, Colbert could hardly contain his laughter. Incidentally, alcohol was actually consumed during the show: Harry and the presenter drank tequila together.
