Prince Harry and family in danger after Taliban confession

Prince Harry (38) talks about his two missions in Afghanistan in his biography ‘Spare’. He is said to have killed 25 Taliban fighters. “It wasn’t something that made me happy, but it wasn’t something I was ashamed of either,” Harry wrote, according to Sky News. Anas Haqqani (29), a senior member of the Taliban, subsequently accused the prince of war crimes.

According to political scientist and terror expert Peter Neumann (48), the fact that Harry brags about the death of the Taliban is a major security risk for the Duke of Sussex. “He’s got a target on his forehead because he’s a legit now.” for Islamists Terror target,” Neumann told Bild. “Anywhere Harry appears in public, he is a potential target,” he warns.

Neumann is not alone in criticizing Harry. “I don’t think it was wise for him to say that out loud,” Royal Navy veteran Ben McBean told Sky News. He knew Prince Harry from their time together in the army.

Harry and Meghan are not protected by the crown

Prince Harry’s statement may have helped those who “want to harm British troops and the British government,” officer Richard Kemp told the BBC. His testimony has endangered British troops around the world, as the desire for retaliation may now be even greater.

The risk to Meghan Markle (41) and the two children Lilibet (1) and Archie (3) has also increased the safety risk. Since Meghan and Harry left the British royal family, they are no longer under the protection of the crown. This means: Harry has to fund the security personnel himself. Harry and Meghan denounced in an interview with Oprah Winfrey (67) in 2021 that despite their fame they were not protected like other royals.

Prince Harry’s statement was “very stupid”

Prince Harry has said in the past that his years in the army were the happiest of his life. The boys would have treated him like one of their own and not like a king. In 2014 he founded the Invictus Games, where war-disabled veterans from 50 countries can compete against each other. And they should take place in September 2023 in Düsseldorf (D).

The games are now in danger, various media write. “I expect the threat level will certainly be higher,” former naval admiral Alan West told the Sunday Mirror. According to West, even stricter security measures will have to be taken at the event in Germany to protect the participating veterans. West says it was “very stupid” to reveal such details of his mission in Afghanistan. (jwg)
