Crazy scene on New Year’s Eve in Berlin – man shoots nine times in the air during TV interview Ukraine reportedly puts hundreds of Russians out of action – the night update without images

Escalation on New Year’s Eve: While a TV team in Berlin is interviewing a firefighter known from “7 vs. Wild”, a man suddenly shoots into the air.

There were sometimes wild scenes in Berlin on New Year’s Eve. One of them was captured by TV cameras. While a team from RTL and n-tv were interviewing a firefighter, a hooded man interrupted the conversation, pulled out a gun and fired nine times into the air.

According to a member of the camera team, the weapon was an empty pistol fired directly at his ear. In an excerpt of the scene published on “n-tv.de” you can see how the team then stops shooting at the point. “It’s all too dangerous,” said the employee.

Fireman is a “7 vs. Wild” star

Video of the shots circulated on social media. Thuringian CDU MP Michael Windisch, among others, shared the excerpt and wrote: “This is the Berlin air, air, air / So with its wonderful smell, smell, smell.”

What makes the clip even more curious is that the firefighter who was interviewed during the incident is no stranger. This is Pascal Bommert, who under his nickname Bommel participated in the first season of the very successful survival YouTube show “7 vs. Wild”. According to his own information on his Instagram account, Bommert was deployed as an A-squad leader in a fire truck on New Year’s Eve.

Bommert attacks Berlin politics

Bommert responded to the incidents on New Year’s Eve in his Instagram story. First he thanked for the many messages of support he and his colleagues had received. According to him, the New Year’s Eve incidents “clearly once again demonstrate the failure” of an “annual Berlin hugging policy”. He also complained about the lack of support for the executive bodies of political leaders and the Senate administration.

According to the New Year’s Eve balance sheet of the Berlin fire service, emergency services received more than 1,700 calls between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on New Year’s Eve. There were a total of 38 attacks on emergency services and vehicles. 15 emergency services were injured.
