Former German concentration camp secretary sentenced to probation Russian state media are certain: Putin’s important announcements are imminent

A former secretary at the Stutthof Nazi concentration camp near Danzig (Gdansk) has been found guilty of complicity in murder in more than 10,500 counts.

The criminal division of the court of Itzehoe (Schleswig-Holstein) sentenced 97-year-old Irmgard F. on Tuesday to a two-year suspended prison sentence.

The suspect is said to have worked from June 1943 to April 1945 as a civilian employee in Stutthof’s headquarters near Danzig and thus helped those responsible in the concentration camp to systematically kill prisoners. Since she was only 18 to 19 years old at the time of the crime, the trial will be held before a juvenile court.

It may be Germany’s last trial for Nazi crimes. At the end of June 2022, the Neuruppin court had sentenced a former guard of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp to five years in prison for complicity in the murder of thousands of prisoners. (aeg/sda/dpa)
