It is also warm at night in large parts of the country due to the humidity. It was a result of climate change, meteorologists unanimously said on the radio.
Tourists from Northern Europe were enthusiastic: “It is a dream for us. We arrived five days ago (in Athens) at minus twelve degrees Celsius and since then it has been warmer than 20 degrees. That is a difference of 32 degrees,” said a visitor from Estonia. Countless people went swimming in Crete on Saturday, according to state television.
In times of energy crisis, the warm days are welcome. You only need to heat a little or not at all, Athenians said on state television.
