Great Britain, Japan and Italy want to develop a new fighter plane together. The aircraft should be operational in 2035. As the government in London announced on Friday, G7 partners aim to adapt and respond to future security threats with this “unprecedented international aerospace coalition”.

He wanted to officially start the first phase of the Global Combat Air Program (GCAP) project when he visited Coningsby Air Force Base in the east of England.

Accordingly, a “network of capabilities” is being planned with unmanned aerial vehicles, advanced sensors, state-of-the-art weapons and innovative data systems.
