According to a Ukrainian presidential adviser, Russia is running out of weapons for airstrikes. In an interview with Britain’s The Guardian, Mikhailo Podoliak said Moscow only has missiles for two or three major strikes. Iran’s drones are completely exhausted. Western military circles have acknowledged the shortage of drones, according to The Guardian. An official who wishes to remain anonymous said Russia used the last Iranian drones two to three weeks ago and is now waiting for more. However, it is unclear whether it will come at all.

Reports of massive backorders

Russia has again ordered hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles from Iran, according to diplomats. “We know that Iran plans to significantly increase its deliveries of unmanned missiles and missiles to Russia,” circles at the United Nations in New York told the German news agency. Iran may hesitate because of internal and external pressures

The Guardian also claims to have learned from Western circles that the ayatollahs are having difficulty supplying ballistic missiles. “Iran will want to think carefully about what it is committing to, but there will also be an intense conversation about what agreement the Iranians and the Russians will come to,” an official told the newspaper. One of the reasons for the slow negotiations could be mounting international pressure on Iran, including its brutal crackdown on protests in the country. These could also be a higher priority for the government than the possibility of being drawn deeper into the war in Ukraine.

After destroying much of Ukraine’s infrastructure and civilian targets with missiles and drones, Russia must now defend itself against similar attacks.
