Mayor Eric Adams (62) wants to address this problem now. In fact, according to a BBC report, the city council is now looking for a “rodent control director” to rid New York residents of the local scourge. Means: a supreme Pied Piper. And the job comes with a killer salary. Specifically: $170,000 a year – the equivalent of about 160,000 francs. However, a lot is expected for the money. Expect to be busy 24/7.
The Chief Pied Piper’s responsibilities include developing rat control strategies, managing projects and policy initiatives, and conducting rat control operations. “The ideal candidate is highly motivated and a little bloodthirsty,” the ad reads.
