Man falls into wood chipper because of Christmas decorations – dead

It was actually a normal day at work for Joseph M.* (46†), a pruning expert from Owensboro, Kentucky. But on Monday, after getting caught in a Christmas light, he fell right into a wood chipper. This is reported by the New York Post, among others. He was so badly injured that rescuers couldn’t do anything for him.

In the small town, the neighborhood is festively decorated with lights at Christmas time. One of these chains was M.’s downfall.

“Be careful and extra vigilant”

Following the horrific accident, the organizers of the Owensboro Christmas Lights posted a warning to visitors on Facebook: “Be careful and pay extra attention when you are in our neighborhood tonight.”

The fear in the family of M. and his friends is deep. They share their grief on Facebook. He was a great person. They can’t believe he died this way. (lrc)
