Fisnike Jusufi (33) is one of the first Albanian driving instructors in Switzerland. In Wetzikon ZH she owns driving school Lugina. She named it after her hometown of Presheva, which she visits about three times a year, as reported by Albora.ch. She explains: “My hometown is important to me, hence the name Lugina. Albanians know the name Lugina, they know it means Presheva.”
Fisnike just started as an employee in a driving school. Then he decided to start his own company. Now she is her own boss and has more freedom of choice. “Most people find it difficult to own their own business. But I don’t owe anyone anything. I make the work plan as it suits me,” says Fisnike.
She usually works late into the evening and tends to leave the early morning free for this. Jusufi also wants her students to learn how to drive at night. It is important to overcome the fear of the dark. “So in the summer I work until 10 p.m. and in the winter, when it gets dark earlier, I work until 9 p.m.”
“This work is appreciated”
And which case do you remember in particular? “When one of my student drivers got out of the car after passing her driving test, she ran over, hugged me and thanked me. Her friend stood next to me with flowers in her hand. I knew then that this work would be appreciated.” (lrc)
