After international criticism of the recent missile tests, North Korea has struck out at the government of neighboring South Korea. The influential sister of ruler Kim Jong-un (38), Kim Yo Jong (35), accused the South Korean government of being a “faithful dog” and “handy” for ally the US.
“As soon as the US talked about its ‘independent sanctions’ against the People’s Republic, South Korea repeated what the former said,” the party official told state-controlled media on Thursday. “I wonder why the South Koreans remain passive in the face of such behavior by (President) Yoon Suk Yeol’s government and other idiots who continue to create a dangerous situation.”

The Ministry of Unification in Seoul expressed regret that Kim had attacked President Yoon with “vulgar language”. At the same time, it accused the largely isolated neighbor of trying to create anti-Yoon government sentiment in South Korea.
With the statement, North Korea also expressed dismay at South Korea’s announcement this week that it was considering new independent sanctions against Pyongyang. According to the South Korean military, North Korea fired a missile on Friday for the second time this month that could theoretically reach US territory. North Korea described testing an ICBM a day later as a step forward in its own efforts to increase the country’s nuclear capability as a deterrent against the United States.
The US, its allies South Korea and Japan and the EU condemned the test. UN resolutions prohibit North Korea from testing ICBMs and other ballistic missiles that, depending on the design, can be equipped with a nuclear warhead. (SDA)
