According to dpa information, the four dead from Weilheim, about 50 kilometers southwest of Munich, are two sisters and their husbands. According to previous police findings, a 59-year-old killed the two women (†57) and then his brother-in-law (†60) on Friday. The suspect allegedly took his own life.
“It’s a relationship act”
After the violent deaths of the two couples, the detectives have not yet given any details about the possible motive of the perpetrator. “This is currently the subject of criminal investigation,” police spokesman Alexander Huber said on Saturday. “Ultimately it is communicated that it is a relationship act,” continued Huber. Since the alleged perpetrator is dead and there was no danger to the population, the question of the motive is also a matter of privacy protection and is therefore unlikely to be published.
According to investigators, the sisters died of “serious injuries” in the perpetrator’s house. “The women had no gunshot wounds,” Huber said. He also said nothing was known about possible stab wounds. Exactly how the two died is now to be clarified by an autopsy. This may take place on Saturday.
The perpetrator committed suicide shortly afterwards
After this act, the suspect allegedly killed his brother-in-law – about a kilometer from where the women were found. A witness discovered the 60-year-old lifeless in the garden of an apartment building and informed the police and emergency services. According to the police, the resuscitation measures were of no avail. Huber said his body had gunshot wounds.
The 59-year-old alleged perpetrator committed suicide on a park bench near the River Ammer, less than two miles from where the 60-year-old was found. His body also had a gunshot wound. A passerby found the dead man around 7:15 p.m. Friday.
