Kürsat Y.* (41) won almost 10 million euros in the lottery. In September, he won the jackpot and won 9.9 million euros. The crane operator with Turkish roots enjoys his lightning-fast prosperity to the fullest. He bought a Ferrari, a Porsche, expensive watches – and an entire cafe in his hometown of Dortmund.
The 41-year-old, also known as “Chico”, won his money with system tickets, “Bild” reports. He is not sure exactly how much he has spent on the lottery so far. Time and again he managed to free up amounts of sometimes several thousand euros – and now cracked the million jackpot.
When he found out that the lottery winner lived in Dortmund, he knew he was lucky. Yet he did not dare to compare the numbers on his card with the winning numbers. Without further ado, he hired a friend: “He called me a few minutes later and told me to take a deep breath – I’m a multimillionaire,” he tells Bild.
“Many have looked down on me for years”
After the mega profit, the crane operator resigned from his employer and spread the word to the public. The reason: “For years, many have looked down on me when I was at the bottom. Now I want everyone to know!”
The brand new multimillionaire only has to do without the great love victory. Now he tries to find the love of his life with the help of the media. “I don’t care if it’s blonde or brunette.” He just wanted to find a woman to travel with or start a family with. “Just a woman I trust unconditionally – and with whom I can spend the rest of my life.”
Meanwhile, Kürsat Y. is considering how to further invest his money. “I would like to go to Africa myself, build wells and give presents to children,” he says. Travel is definitely on the agenda.
In addition, the 41-year-old continues to play the lottery – out of habit, as he puts it. Despite Ferraris and expensive luxury watches, “Chico” says: “The millions don’t change me. I certainly won’t forget where I come from.” (see)
