CNN: Alleged attack on husband Pelosi conspiracy theory supporters

The man who assaulted the husband of Democratic politician Nancy Pelosis last night shared conspiracy theories via his Facebook account, news channel CNN reported. According to CNN, these related, among other things, to Joe Biden’s election victory in 2020 and the storming of the Capitol on January 6 last year. CNN is the only news platform reporting about it.

Facebook has taken suspect David DePape’s (42) account offline, two of his family members have confirmed to CNN. The man grew up in Canada but moved to California twenty years ago because of a lover. He no longer had any contact with his family.

The man broke into the Pelosis’ home in San Francisco around 2 a.m. last night. According to American media, he was targeting Nancy Pelosi, who was in Washington at the time. The police stopped him, but by then he had already wounded Paul Pelosi with a hammer. DePape is suspected of attempted murder, among other things. His motive is still under investigation.

rather worrying

Former acquaintances tell CNN that DePape’s behavior has become increasingly troubling over the years. According to a woman who met him eight years ago, he lived in a storage room and struggled with drug use. He would have lost touch with reality. She felt it was dangerous to hang out with him any longer and broke off contact.

The posts on Facebook seen by CNN make no mention of Pelosi’s name. Editors saw videos of a Republican politician and businessman claiming that Trump was the true winner of the 2020 election and that Biden’s camp committed fraud. DePape also posted links to websites claiming coronavirus vaccines are deadly.

A House committee is currently investigating the role of Trump, his confidants and his supporters in storming the Capitol. DePape is said to have posted videos on Facebook in which he called the committee “a joke” and talked about plans “by the world elite” who were after ordinary people’s money.

In previous years, DePape mostly posted lengthy stories on religious topics, according to CNN. In it Jesus was called the “Antichrist”.
