Four people were killed in the horror accident involving a Flixbus on Wednesday.

Only a short time after the serious Flix bus accident near Leipzig, another serious accident involving a coach occurred on Autobahn 44 near Werl in North Rhine-Westphalia. As a police spokesman in Dortmund said on Friday, 21 people were injured in the accident late Thursday evening, one of them seriously. According to the initial investigation, the bus traveling towards Kassel veered off the road to the right between the Unna and Werl intersection.

There the car crashed into the guardrail that protruded from the ground and overturned on the right side of the vehicle. According to initial findings, the accident was preceded by a medical emergency involving the 53-year-old driver.

On the bus was a group of about 60 people from a vocational school in Warburg in North Rhine-Westphalia, who were on their way back from England. According to a police spokesperson, the majority of passengers were schoolchildren.

Serious accidents involving touring cars happen all the time

The accident happened on Thursday evening around 11 p.m. and the road towards Kassel remained closed until Friday morning at 9 a.m. towards Kassel. There were a large number of police and fire brigades on site.

Four people were killed in the horror accident involving a Flixbus on Wednesday. The investigation into the cause of the accident is still ongoing.
