The young man is accused of attacking and killing his parents and his 34-year-old brother with a knife in the German community near Kaiserstuhl AG on Tuesday evening.

The suspect’s sister suffered serious injuries in the attack but survived, investigators said. The 19-year-old, who has German and Italian citizenship, is charged with three counts of manslaughter and attempted manslaughter.

Details about how the violent act took place in an apartment building in the Lienheim district of Hohentengen also initially remained open. Regarding personal rights, the investigators did not comment in detail on the location of the incident and spoke of an “eastern district community in the Waldshut district.” According to information from the German news agency DPA, the attack took place in Hohentengen.
