Deeply relaxed during a theft: A woman was arrested in Australia after doing some yoga exercises in a customer’s parking lot before allegedly breaking into a bakery.
Police say surveillance cameras recorded the suspect in the Melbourne bakery’s parking lot overnight doing exercises like the bridge before apparently breaking into the headquarters of bakery chain Phillippa’s Bakery.
Police said the woman was wearing a black leather jacket, ripped black jeans and black shoes. Their loot consisted of an almond croissant, a pair of shoes and some cleaning products. An investigation was opened against her for theft, burglary and setting herself up for theft. The suspect was released on bail and will appear in court on May 22.
The affected business, Phillippa’s Bakery, responded “quite surprised” to the case. “It seems like yoga is a must before a burglary,” the bakery chain explains on Instagram. Accordingly, the woman stole, among other things, not just one, but several croissants that were “clearly too tempting for this agile burglar.” (ymh)
