Perpetrator dragged her into the garage: Viennese woman (41) raped on the way home

She just wanted to go home after a strenuous day at work when something terrible happened to a 41-year-old woman from Vienna: an unknown man dragged her into the entrance of a garage and raped her. As “oe24” reports, the incident took place around 3 a.m. on Friday morning in the Wieden district. The victim screamed for help and neighbors called the police. However, the perpetrator managed to escape.

There has been no statement from the victim so far; the woman was taken to a hospital. There is video footage of the incident taken near the crime scene. According to the responsible police spokesperson, the recordings are “currently being evaluated”.

Not the first case

Now the police are also looking for witnesses in addition to the possible rapist. The perpetrator was wearing a dark sweater and black pants at the time of the crime. The white soles of the shoes would especially stand out.

It is not the first rape case to be reported in Vienna. At the end of February, a months-long gang rape of a 12-year-old girl shocked the Austrian capital. A group of 17 young people were interviewed and reported. They are said to have filmed some of the rapes and used them to blackmail their victims.
