Niclas Matthei hunts down parking offenders.

In his luminous uniform, Niclas Matthei (18) hunts for parking offenders throughout Germany. He has made it his mission to report every illegal parking spot he comes across to the authorities. The 18-year-old became so popular on social media. But initial complaints about not understanding the teenager’s hobby have turned into dangerous hostilities. The ‘advertising master’ is now said to have even been robbed.

At the beginning of March, a previously unknown football fan allegedly attacked the young man on an S-Bahn between Bitterfeld and Muldenstein (state of Saxony-Anhalt), the “Leipziger Volkszeitung” reported. According to the report of the responsible federal police, the perpetrator used force to take his mobile phone from the 18-year-old. The victim was then taken to a nearby hospital with injuries.

The attack on the teenager is also being discussed on the internet. Matthei has not yet responded to the attack. On social media, a user asked him if he was in hospital, to which he replied: “That’s a hoax.” Elsewhere, the link to the article in the “Leipziger Volkszeitung” was shared as a comment. The “advertising master” responded with a like.

Young people are bombarded with hate messages on the internet

The 18-year-old caused a shitstorm on social media with his actions. If you look at the comments under clips about the ‘advertising master’, you will see that here is the rule for hate messages. “At some point he will meet the right people, and that makes me happy,” writes one user, according to the “Editorial Network Germany”. Another says: “At some point he will crawl under the wheels, that poor fool.”

Matthei became known through a report by “Spiegel TV”. In the post, he repeatedly takes out his cell phone, takes a photo of illegally parked cars and uploads it to an app. “The national total amount of fines and warnings collected from my advertisements is 140,995 euros, according to the fine catalogue,” he says proudly into the camera. The equivalent of 133,000 francs.

By the way, the ‘advertiser chief’ has not followed any police training. The mayor of his town Gräfenhainichen, Enrico Schilling (44), does not like Mattheis’ solo efforts. The unnecessary reporting frenzy from the ‘advertiser chief’ could potentially hinder emergency services as hundreds of advertisements would flood reporting agencies. (An)
