Pope Francis: “Gender ideology” is the greatest danger. EU prosecutor warns of criminal influence on politicians

Pope Francis has described “gender ideology” as the greatest danger of today. It eliminates differences and makes everything the same, the head of the Catholic Church said during an audience on Friday.

“Eliminating differences means eliminating humanity.” However, husband and wife are in a fruitful tension, the Pope continued.

According to the Vatican, the 87-year-old has been suffering from “mild flu” for several days. He therefore had an aide read the rest of his speech. “I still have a cold and I get tired if I read for a while,” Francis said. The pope’s health has been increasingly worrying for some time. In recent months he has had several problems with inflammation of the airways. (rbu/sda/dpa)
