The Sanrio Puroland in Tama informed the police of a “terror threat” around 9 a.m. According to the theme park, the email arrived Saturday.

“We will temporarily close today because we cannot fully guarantee the safety of customers, artists and employees on site,” Sanrio Puroland wrote on its website. Police have searched the area, but have so far found nothing suspicious. The indoor theme park featuring Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters opened in 1990. (no)
