Peruvian Prime Minister, Alberto Otarolaconfirmed this Thursday that the Government is striving to replicate the prison model Saviorwhose prison infrastructure he described as “adequate, modern and efficient”, despite complaints from human rights organisations.
“Prison logistics in this country (…) has become an adequate, modern and efficient infrastructure for, above all, the most violent and dangerous prisoners,” explained Otárola at the press conference.
In this regard, he clarified that he is a minister Justice and human rights, Eduardo Aranahe went to the Central American country to learn firsthand about this policy and also to “hold joint meetings with the judicial sector of El Salvador on the sustainability of these prisons” that they want to “implement in Peru.”
