The cruise ship “Aida aura” got stuck in stormy seas in the Atlantic Ocean. In the Bay of Biscay – a large bay between France and Spain – the waves were so strong that water even entered the ship through the doors:
Asked about the storm, the shipping company tells RTL: “The weather conditions are not unusual for this time of year, the ship management takes this into account at all times and keeps our guests informed.”
Due to the heavy swell, the captain has decided to skip two stops on the cruise. The ports of La Coruna and Porto/Leixoes were suspended.
The “Aida aura” left Bremerhaven on October 18. The destination of the cruise is South Africa. (vw)
