King Charles speaks out for the first time after cancer diagnosis. No agreement during interparliamentary meeting between Switzerland and the EU

King Charles III After his cancer diagnosis, he addressed the public directly for the first time and thanked them for their support in recent days. “I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received over the past few days,” the 75-year-old monarch said, according to a statement released late by Buckingham Palace. Saturday evening. “As anyone affected by cancer knows, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement,” the statement continued.

He said it was also heartening to hear that sharing his own diagnosis had helped to increase public understanding of cancer and shine a light on the work of all those who care for cancer patients and their families in Britain and the rest of the world supported. “My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication has been deepened by my own personal experience,” he said.

Buckingham Palace announced on Monday that Charles had been diagnosed with cancer. During his recent hospital treatment for a benign enlargement of the prostate, another problem was noticed, it was said. The subsequent diagnostic tests would have discovered a form of cancer. The king has now started regular treatments. However, doctors advised him not to attend public appointments during this period. He will continue the affairs of the state. The palace did not say exactly what type of cancer it was. But it shouldn’t be prostate cancer.

Her husband is doing “extremely well” given the circumstances, Queen Camilla (76) said on Thursday evening during her first public appearance after the cancer diagnosis was announced at an event in Salisbury, southern England. Charles reportedly traveled with Camilla this week to his Sandringham estate in the eastern English county of Norfolk, where he is said to be currently staying.
