In January, the British royal family surprised with a double announcement: Princess Kate and King Charles each underwent surgery. Although relatively many details were revealed about Charles’ prostate procedure, In Kate’s case, all we know is that it’s her stomach. According to official information, it is not cancer.
The 42-year-old has since left hospital and continues to heal at home in Windsor. Meanwhile, speculation about her health continues. After the exaggerated statements of a Spanish journalist, a palace source speaks out.
Royal expert Concha Calleja, among others, was a guest in a news program on Spanish television. She explained that Kate had been in a coma for some time and was in ‘great danger’. She further claimed:
And that’s not all: A ‘whole hospital’ was even built for Kate in Windsor. The truth of these statements is extremely questionable from the start. In England they were received with outrage.
At “The Telegraph” a palace source is now even commenting on Concha Calleja’s TV appearance. The statements made are therefore ‘complete nonsense’. It is also made clear: “The journalist has made no attempt to verify her statements with anyone from the household.” Finally, the insider describes the claims as “basically completely fabricated.”
Royal fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Although Kate will most likely not make any public appearances before Easter, she would like to resume her work at home. Right now, her and William’s children are their absolute priority. For Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as little as possible should change these days.
By the way, Kate was not visited by the children in the hospital. She was received at home all the more warmly. “They all made her get-well cards and sent her favorite snacks,” an insider recently told Us Weekly.
The family remains “grateful for the good wishes they have received from all over the world,” the palace statement said upon their release. It was also reported about Kate: “She is making good progress.”
