Orathai P.* has been missing for about three weeks. She was married to a Swiss man who died in 2021 and left her an inheritance worth about 320,000 francs.

A short time later, P. met Wolfgang J.**, another Swiss. The two married and moved to the Thai province of Nakhon Ratchasima.

At the beginning of this year there was an argument between the two. According to Thai media, the man wanted to visit a sick colleague in Pattaya – his wife was against this. There would also have been other problems in the marriage. So P. caught Wolfgang J. with another woman.

Body dumped in pond?

Surveillance camera images show that after the argument, the Swiss picked up an object outside and then entered the house again. The next morning the man left for Pattaya alone. There has been no trace of Orathai P. since then.

Last week, a relative of Orathai P. contacted the authorities. He insisted on looking for the woman at a pond near the house because the missing woman had appeared in a dream. If she had been murdered, it is believed the body could have been disposed of here. However, a search with five divers yielded no results.

Wolfgang J. is only allowed to leave his house to eat or to be questioned by the police. The authorities are said to have recently ordered DNA samples to be taken from him.

Woman is addicted to gambling

In addition to the feud with her husband, there is also speculation in the Thai media about whether Orathai P.’s disappearance could have something to do with her first husband’s inheritance.
