British Prime Minister Liz Truss announced her resignation on Thursday. With just 44 days in office, it is the fastest layoff in British history. The short time was accompanied by a controversial tax reform for the wealthy and much ridicule for the prime minister himself.
This is of course a bull’s eye for British dailies, according to this press review:
‘Johnson thinks about returning as Truss leaves No. 10 (Downing Street)’
« Boris vs. Rishi (Sunak, ex-treasury minister): battle for the souls of the Tories»
Boris Johnson tells Tories: ‘I can prevent the party from being wiped out in the election'”

Truss steps down as prime minister after 44 days
‘Truss resigns after 44 days: the worst prime minister we’ve ever had’
“BoJo: I’ll be back” (quite Terminator style)
“Going away after 44 days”
«The British people want… NOW PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS»
“Happy DailyStar vegetable survive cos-Liz as she withers in the political heat (and you won’t believe what cabbage can save us)”
