Man had coins in his stomach for days

Doctors discovered 63 coins in the man’s digestive tract. The doctors removed the change from the man’s body through the mouth using endoscopy. As “Jam Press” reports, the thalers had been in the man’s stomach for a few days. Only then did the complaints become so serious that he had to seek help.

The Indian is fortunate because foreign bodies in the stomach are usually removed through an operation to open the abdomen. It could be “the first time that such a large number of coins have been removed endoscopically,” the doctors said.

The coins turned out to be too large to be discarded naturally. Their diameter: 22 to 25 millimeters.

Coins caused virtually no damage

The man’s stomach lining survived the unknown contents virtually unscathed. He only had some redness and minor abrasions.

Afterwards, the doctors puzzle over one question: how and why the coins ended up in the man’s stomach. He left the hospital shortly after the procedure. The solution to the riddle also disappeared for him.

Was it a thief who wanted to hide his loot? One such case occurred in Germany in May this year. Fearing a gastroscopy, the perpetrator vomited a stolen gold ring.
