The police in Kalefeld, Germany, have arrested a drunk driver (45) with a blood alcohol content of 5.53. According to police, his vehicle became stuck on the grass edge of a supermarket parking lot on Tuesday evening.

A breath alcohol test showed the record-breaking value. The man was taken to hospital as a precaution and admitted there.

The man has temporarily lost his driver’s license. Criminal proceedings are also underway against him for driving under the influence.
