Branded clothes, expensive restaurants and hotels – the most important thing is luxury. More importantly, that everyone can see this luxury. Even if it doesn’t actually exist. This is how many influencers work, who share almost their entire, seemingly perfect lives with their followers on social media.

Right in the heart of Los Angeles is a luxurious building where influencers like this really fly to. From $49 you can sit there on a private jet – with the emphasis on sitting. Because he will never leave. But it’s good enough for a few photos for Instagram.

A high cabin ceiling, bright club chairs and an elegant wooden table adorn the Jet Olympia 4. But this is just a facade: the private jet is a offering from FD Photo Studio and is located in the middle of Olympic Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles. The photo location provider has additional locations in Chicago and New York with a wide variety of backdrops available for anyone to rent.

Everything for the perfect picture

Several influencers have already booked the Olympia 4 private jet backdrop for a photo session. For €49 you have an hour to take the perfect photo. Parking, WiFi and a music system are included in the offer, as can be seen on the photo studio’s website. On the weekend you have to dig a little deeper into your pockets.

The fact that this is more apparent than reality does not seem to bother some people. For example, influencer Kennedy Cymone, who poses in Olympia 4 for her more than 1.5 million followers on Instagram. “Who would rather fly on Valentine’s Day than fall in love,” she writes.

Azra Mian also delights her 943,000 subscribers with a photo of the fake private jet. However, she disabled the comments on her post for good reason.

Dizziness is exposed – and causes ridicule

The facade of the perfect luxury life came crashing down when a user on X shared photos from the photo studio. “No, I just found out that LA girls are using studio sets that look like private jets for their Instagram photos,” she revealed. This information circulated at the time and the fraud of some influencers was exposed. In Mian’s case, this likely led to her disabling her comments section.

Aisha Mian also shared an alleged snapshot from a private jet flight with her 1.2 million followers. “It’s better to fly than to fall in love,” it says underneath the photo. And by the way: “By the way, it’s a photo shoot.”

But the text was edited – probably after the plane turned out to be fake, as one user opined: “I love that you changed your caption when you were exposed. Miserable.”
