At the beginning of this week, German farmers protested against planned cuts with tractors and trucks.

What do farmers and climate activists have in common? Exactly, they have caused roadblocks in Germany several times in recent days. While the farmers’ protests are met with understanding, according to a survey among the German population, climate activists are exposed to enormous hostility.

To counter this, the Leipzig climate adhesives came up with something original. They blocked the city’s Jahnallee with small toy tractors. The activists held a sign above it that read: “We can do this, we have a tractor.” With this campaign, climate activists appear to be demanding sympathy for the farmers’ protests.

At the beginning of the week, farmers across Germany protested against planned government cuts against the backdrop of the budget crisis.

The farmers’ protests are supported by, among others, freight forwarders and other companies in the transport sector.

“Somehow I think it’s pretty great.”

The clogging of the climate adhesives did not last long. The police quickly arrived on the scene with several patrol cars. As other photos show, the road was reopened around 11 a.m.

Social media users are divided over the campaign. Some accuse the climate stickers of asking for attention. “Do they still exist?” says one X user.

Others find the campaign successful. “Hello,” one user praised the young activists. “Somehow I think it’s pretty great.” (An)
