After the kidnapping drama involving children: Steakhouse heiress Block makes her first public appearance

Rarely has a custody dispute caused such a stir: on New Year’s Eve, the kidnapping of the children of steakhouse heiress Christina Block (49) caused a stir.

A short time later the mother reported that the children were with her. Apparently she had her children kidnapped. A few days later they were returned to Denmark to live with their father, Block’s ex-husband Stephan Hensel (49). A heated argument between him and Block is said to have been the reason for the kidnapping.

Now Block has appeared in public for the first time after the drama surrounding her children, reports ‘Bild’. «After careful consideration, I decided not to hide. “Don’t duck,” Block said at “Punsch unter’m Dach”, the New Year’s reception of the Hamburg steakhouse dynasty Block.

It is not surprising that the headlines surrounding the disappearance of Klara (13) and Theodor (10) were a topic of discussion.

Instead of being bombarded with questions, Block took the wind out of the guests’ sails and commented on the subject on his own initiative. “Especially because of the family events of the past few days, I have thought for a long time whether I should say anything at all,” she began her speech.

Normally at this moment her family would like to take the opportunity to tell their guests what a diverse and cheerful house the Grand Elysée is. “But times are not normal. At least not for me and my family,” the heiress continued.

Big applause for Blok

Block’s honest words seemed to resonate with the guests. For her speech she received thunderous applause from the approximately 350 guests.
