Tragedy in Ravenna, Italy: On Monday morning, Italian-Swiss Giulia L.* (41) jumped out of the window with her six-year-old daughter and the family poodle.
While the 41-year-old survived the fall, her 6-year-old daughter and the family dog died on the spot. The Italian-Swiss dual national must answer for attempted murder. The woman was arrested after the jump and interrogated for almost two hours. The mother must answer for manslaughter.
The 41-year-old’s condition is stable. According to reports from Italian news agencies Ansa and Adnkronos, she is in hospital and, according to doctors’ predictions, she could be discharged in about 40 days.
According to a neighbor, the daughter said, “Mommy, no, mommy, no!” shouted. As “Today” reports, workers working at a construction site near the house made the emergency call after hearing the dull thud of bodies. Before the murderous jump, the 41-year-old substitute teacher posted an “accusatory post” on Facebook aimed at her husband Davide T.* and several family members. The woman has been receiving psychiatric treatment for about ten years and reportedly suffers from bipolar disorder.
