Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk is said to be worth $251 billion. According to the latest Forbes survey from January, Musk remains the richest person in the world. Musk is said to have made another $6 billion in December alone.
In second place is Bernard Arnault, head of the luxury manufacturer LVMH. Arnault has been in second place since June last year. According to Forbes, the 74-year-old is worth $200.7 billion.

The third richest person in the world is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. The entrepreneur is said to have a net worth of $168.4 billion. Bezos fought back to third place. So far, Indian entrepreneur Gautam Adani was in third place. The Indian drops to 16th place at the start of the year.
In fourth place is Larry Ellison, founder of the software company Oracle with a fortune of $135.3 billion. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is fighting his way back to the top: in December alone, Zuckerberg is said to have earned another $9.4 billion, mainly because the shares of Meta, Facebook’s parent company, rose. Forbes now estimates his fortune at $125.3 billion.
Nine of the ten richest people on the Forbes list are Americans, and there is not a single woman on the list. Each of the ten richest people has a fortune of more than $100 billion.
