Several injured: serious sauna accident in Austria

A serious accident occurred during an IV in a sauna in Vorarlberg, Austria. According to the police, undiluted pre-run was mistakenly used during the incident on Friday evening in Dornbirn, causing a flash fire. Three people suffered burns, one seriously.

There were 16 people in the sauna and one sauna guest was preparing the next infusion. Due to a communication problem, he emptied the bottle directly onto the sauna heater, it was said. The flame spread throughout the room.

One person suffered burns all over his body and was taken by ambulance and emergency doctor to the shock room at Feldkirch State Hospital. One sauna guest suffered burns to his left arm and another to his left ear. The other people in the sauna suffered obvious injuries, but did not require medical attention. (SDA)
