He helped the restaurant of the five-star hotel “Hotel du Palais” in Biarritz to receive a Michelin star and is seen as a great talent in French cuisine: Aurelien Largeau (31), only 31 years old, has been successfully running the gastronomic temple since 2020. Now he resigned – and the Public Prosecution Service has opened a preliminary investigation.

The accusations are serious: photos that have since been deleted on social networks showed a kitchen helper tied naked to a chair. There was a carrot in his ass and he had to hold an apple in his mouth.

Largeau is said to have been present

Apparently he had to remain in this humiliating position for hours as part of a bizarre recording ritual. The material was recorded in the kitchen in the presence of all members – including chef Aurelien Largeau. This was reported by “Sud Oest”.

The hotel is owned by the Hyatt Group, whose management quickly became aware of the “disturbing images” and took action. Largeau is unemployed for the time being.

Largeau denies everything

A Hyatt spokeswoman told AFP: “This incident does not reflect our company’s values. We have opened an investigation and made appropriate decisions.” The Bayonne Public Prosecutor’s Office has now opened a preliminary investigation into a possible sexual assault.

Largeau himself denies everything and states in writing that the reported facts ‘do not correspond in any way to reality’. He formally denies all allegations. This is an attack on his honor with false and defamatory facts.
