Screams and loud noises came from the main floor of the house: Naples police recently responded to a domestic violence case. In the Chiaia district, in the center of the Italian city, a man (36) attacked his partner (42) in the apartment they shared. The “Corriere del Mezzogiorno” reported on the case.

The attack happened because she refused to give him money for alcohol. The man does not work himself, but hangs out on the street during the day and gets drunk.

Beating partner arrested

Attentive neighbors heard the woman’s screams and called the carabinieri. It turned out that the aggressive man had tried to strangle his partner with a nunchuck. There were clear marks on the 42-year-old’s neck as evidence of this. He had previously violently beaten her.

The weapon is mainly known in this country from films and originally comes from Japan. A nunchaku consists of two pieces of wood of the same length that are connected to each other with a chain. The wood is about 30 centimeters long and the chain is usually between 10 and 15 centimeters long.

Despite the police officers present, he could not control his anger and tried to hit the woman again with the nunchaku in his hand. The police overpowered him and eventually took the man away in handcuffs. Now the 36-year-old must answer for attempted blackmail, family abuse, threats and resistance to a government official. (no)
